Accessibility Statement

LearnBuild has developed LearnBuild LibraryLink to ensure that this web application is W3C WAI-AAA WCAG1.0 Compliant, Bobby 508 Compliant and CSS Compliant. Bobby compliance provides us and our customers with the reassurance that all students can access our system and benefit like any other.

The Special Educational Needs & Disability Act (2001) enforced legislation in September 2002 to ensure that all online educational learning resources do not discriminate against disabled students. LearnBuild supports this Act

The LearnBuild LibraryLink web application is designed to work fully in any standards compliant web browser and to be accessible in most other browsers. The style sheet, that creates the look and feel of the application, is designed to work in Internet Explorer 5 and above, Netscape 6 and above and Opera 7 and above.

Access Keys

LearnBuild LibraryLink contains 'Access Keys'. These are keyboard shortcuts to the commonly used buttons that are part of the navigation structure. This feature will only work with standards-compliant web browsers.

To use this feature in the Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla or Firefox web browsers, press and hold ALT and the 'Access Key' for the button you want.

To use this feature on the Internet Explorer browser on an Apple Macintosh, press and hold CTRL and the 'Access Key' for the button you want.

This feature does not work in the Opera web browser at present with the exception of the 'Access Key' for Keyboard-compliant mode, Change Active Textbox and Printer-friendly mode.

Printer Friendly Mode

LearnBuild LibraryLink now has the option to render a 'Printer Friendly' page for any of LearnBuild LibraryLink's existing pages. This is done automatically and will fit a standard A4 page. To switch between a Printer Friendly page and a regular page, click the Printer icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen. To Print the page, simply select Print in your browser's File menu. You will not be able to use the navigation when in 'Printer Friendly' page mode. If you are using a standards compliant browser, you may be able to print a page from your browser without clicking the Printer Friendly button.

Keyboard Compliant Mode

LearnBuild LibraryLink can be navigated by using either the keyboard or the mouse. To switch the keyboard-compliant mode on and off, please click the Keyboard icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen. This will add [GO] buttons to all the drop down menu's and give you time to read through the options in the drop down lists before you make your selection.
